The new Tesla P85D scored a 103 out of 100 on a new Consumer Reports test, so the company had to totally reconfigure its rating system. The official score is now a mere perfect 100. The new model goes from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds, more than two seconds faster than the original Tesla Model S – which scored 99 out of 100–the fastest acceleration consumer reports had ever measured.
